Our mission:
"Lifting up Jesus, loving people, and leading them to live by the Word of God"
Come Grow with us!
In many churches it is easy to hide and be forgotten. At Holy Cross you are valuable. In our church we focus on family, fellowship, foundations and fire. We live out our lives in Christ as a family. We enjoy fellowship along with good food! We believe in following God on a secure foundation with the Bible as the answer to life’s problems. Finally we desire more of God. We seek God to set us afire with his Holy Spirit. We ask God to fill us with more of Him so that we can pour it out to those who do not know him.
Our worship follows a liturgical base...
Liturgy means the work of the people. Our liturgical worship is grounded in Holy Scripture. We use the 2019 ACNA book of common prayer. In addition, we incorporate contemporary music, strong personal ministry, and practical teaching.
Our teaching has a biblical base...
The word of God is the center of all our preaching and practice.
Our ministry has a spiritual base...
The power and work of the Holy Spirit is the foundation for all the activities of our Church life and our outreach to the world.
Our fellowships have a family base...
As a Church, we enjoy living our Christian faith together; We are more than an organization; we are a family.
LITURGICAL/SACRAMENTAL...
We are a liturgical and sacramental church. Being a liturgical church means that our worship services follow a form of worship (we use a worship booklet to follow the flow of the service) and involve more worshipper participation than non-liturgical services. Being a sacramental church means that we use outward and visible signs of invisible and spiritual grace. This involves such things as water for Baptism, bread and wine for Holy Communion and holy oil for anointing the sick.
EVANGELICAL...
Holy Cross holds the Holy Scriptures as the infallible Word of God, containing all things necessary for salvation and godly living. We are committed to the faithful reading, study, teaching and preaching of the Bible. We embrace the evangelical distinctives that underscore the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a holy life, evangelism and mission.
CHARISMATIC...
From the time of the apostles, Christians have always been filled with the Holy Spirit and power. The Holy Spirit continues to minister in our day through the Pentecostal and Charismatic movements. One distinguishing mark of Holy Cross is our openness to the work of the Holy Spirit.
